I am very excited to see Christopher Wool’s work at the Guggenheim during my stay in New York. The exhibition explores the artist’s nuanced engagement with the question of how to make a picture. If you know of any interesting exhibitions happening in New York or Brooklyn for the next week, make sure to let me know.

It’s raining this morning in New York. I am admiring the trees across the street in their beautiful autumn shades of yellow and decided to post some flowers in the same tones. Now it’s time to go out and enjoy the rain drops in one of my favorite cities!

As I am writing this, I am packing for the second part of my journey and tomorrow I will be on my way to my favorite concrete jungle; New York. After a really long day of travel, I should arrive in the big apple just on time to celebrate the end of Halloween.

There’s nothing more romantic than the idea of reading the paper in bed with a delicious coffee. Now if at least I was interested in the news! Perhaps I can make it a habit to read The New York Times while I’m in New York soon. Maybe only the art section!

As the possibility of spending some time in Brooklyn this summer is becoming more and more of a reality, I decided to look for artists in the area. I was thrilled to discover the paintings of Fede Saenz. Native of Argentina, he has been living and working out of Brooklyn since 2003.  His work explores the basics, and investigates the problem of simplicity. Interesting line, “the problem of simplicity”. I really hope to have the chance of meeting him in person and maybe bringing back one of those fabulous pink paintings for may collection.
