Luscious Lilac Sugar

A couple of weeks ago, just towards the end of the lilac blossoms, I discovered the most luscious food ingredient I have ever come across; lilac sugar. It’s absolutely beautiful and smells even more delightful than it looks. Just wash the the tiny flowers, let dry, mix into a jar with the sugar and shake every few days. You can remove the dry flowers once your sugar is scented. Now of course, white sugar isn’t a healthy ingredient so I would recommend using a better sugar, but for the pictures, white and lilac were a perfect combination.
