MELISSA MERCIER

Perfectly Private

I love coffee, espresso, café latés, café crème, the list just doesn’t stop.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find that Paris shares my love for coffee.
It seems every few steps there is another brasserie or cafe serving coffee on cute Parisian patios. The quality is first rate and if you order ‘un cafe’ you are served a shot of espresso, which seems to be the drink of choice for the locals. The tiny coffees reminded me of my tiny lights from Manfrotto – good things come in small packages! So I’ve spent the last few days snapping shots of my morning drinks with my iPhone and my Manfrotto lights. I hope these photos warm your heart and draw you to Paris. It’s a wonderful place to slow down and smell the coffee.

For all of the images, I handheld Manfrotto’s smallest LED light (so the set up is not shown) which I always have in my pocket. It takes absolutely no space and makes such an important difference in the result. I love how the latest iPhone takes photos of acceptable quality. It’s very practical during my travels to not have to carry my heavy weight Hasselblad with me all the time.

Ciao
Melissa
